Luminous Prayer Nuggets

LORD:

I recognise that it’s important to fill my mind with positive thoughts. My intelligence isn’t like Yours. Apart from Jesus, I live in darkness. I have limited capacity to understand who I am or what is now present, and what the future holds.

I’ve read in Your words that concentrating on negative thoughts is futile affecting my moods and behaviour. Allow your light to shine into the dark areas of my mind, and give me clarity, direction and wisdom. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Continue to send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me to a place of peace so that in you I can find rest for my body, soul and spirit.

I bring my negative self-talk, assumptions, and beliefs to Your light so that I can be healed, grow, manage my troubles and find a way out. Let Your light dispel my darkness and my hopelessness. Help me not to move away from You, but to stay in Your presence so that Your light will enable me to find a way to enjoy Your magnificent beauty which surrounds me.

My deepest darkest and most secret thoughts cannot be hidden from your light, help me to gravitate, and navigate towards the light. As I engage in this process I believe the negative thoughts will diminish and lose their grip on me. When I’m feeling low, I’ll look to Your light for healing and growth, energy and power. You reveal deep and secret things; You know what is in the darkness, and light dwells with You.
